How to call and ask for a business opportunity?
I just started a new new web design business and want to call local businesses to ask if they would be interested in a professional and affordable website design for their business but I want it to sound very professional and so they don't think you're a telemarketer. Please, what would I say and how would I end the call, etc.? Please be very detailed if you can. Thanks.

- Hello and congrats on your new business. Keep in mind most businesses receive several phone call and emails a day from companies offering their services and many of them are never even given much consideration. the best way to approach and business or even the everyday consumer is in person. that saying about first impression definitely holds true when it comes to selling or promoting a business or product. if possible set up appointments with the prospective businesses and outline what is to be discussed in your meeting (to get them interested) then go in and sell, sell, sell. believe it or not some companies still use business cards the most important thing is to be persistent and to know the ins and outs of what you are selling. you can even go as far as drafting up a pitch and some key features about your business and leave each company you visit a copy. don't get me wrong, phone calls are good especially when following up but they are often viewed as impersonal nuisances. good luck
